We need your help please!
Sierra Business Council, the host of the Sierra Small Business Development Center, has partnered with the Desert Research Institute (“DRI”) on a survey to understand how businesses in the Sierra Nevada and Southern Cascades regions have been impacted by the combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and the historic 2020 fire season. Through this survey, we aim to help develop better business support resources, programs, and policies. Ultimately, we hope to help businesses get the support they need to recover and become more resilient. DRI reached out to SBC to be the project partner because they know we are a key org in actually providing support services to businesses. Because of our SBDC and our other work, we can help ensure that this research gets directly translated into action, in terms of providing programming, advising, etc. to businesses. We can also help ensure that the survey results are shared widely with other folks who will benefit directly from the information.
From our perspective, this survey can provide important information about what businesses need and how we can continue to support them.
