Music on the Beach, Lights in the Sky!
EVENT RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 8!

NTBA hopes everyone had a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.

As you know, we were excited to host our final Music on the Beach concert and light up the sky with our Drone show last Friday, September 1. Unfortunately Mother Nature wanted to have a front row seat as well, with wind gusts up to 40mph and steady rain. Obviously, the conditions were not in our favor to have the concert or drone show. After a lot of communication, watching the forecasts, and thinking about our community’s safety, we felt it was best to postpone the show. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.

NTBA is excited to announce our Music on the Beach, Lights in the Sky event has been fully rescheduled for THIS Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6:00-9:30pm. Music begins at 6:30pm and the drone show will follow at 9pm. We are also excited to announce our new band for this Friday, Matt Axton & the Badmoon Boys. The weather looks extremely favorable to jam out, close out our 17th annual Music of The Beach Series, and light up our beautiful Lake Tahoe skies with 300 Drones!

We want to thank all of our partners who made this move possible; California State Parks, Chango Presents, Sky Elements Drone Company, North Tahoe Fire, Placer County, our food vendors (MOGROG Rotisserie, Tacos Herrera, and Kettle King), presenting sponsor NTCA, all our sponsors and our incredible team of staff and volunteers. Without everyone’s work to make this shift we would not be able to reschedule and with such a quick turnaround! THANK YOU!

THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU!

Our family, friends, business community, neighbors, and visitors! NTBA wants to celebrate our incredible community! This event is NTBA’s way of saying thank you for supporting one another, for supporting our businesses and employees, for welcoming our visitors, and for continuing to support NTBA and all our efforts through thick and thin.

We will be serving beer from Alibi Ale Works and wine from Truckee River Winery, in addition to non-alcoholic beverages.  Local food vendors including MOGROG Rotisserie, Tacos Herrera, and Kettle King will have food available for purchase from 6-9pm. No outside alcohol or pets are permitted.

THE MUSIC

Matt Axton & the Badmoon Boys

September 8

Matt Axton is a West Coast based singer-songwriter, guitarist and multi-band leader whose music is a “humble slice of Americana.” Matt’s calm yet commanding storytelling mixed with his deep legacy stories, rich baritone voice and finger picking guitar style connects with music lovers of all genres. His eclectic style was grown in the mountains of
Tahoe and proudly honed in the heart of the Axton music legacy.

THE LIGHTS

Drone light shows are performed by LED illuminated, synchronized, and choreographed groups of drones that arrange themselves into various aerial formations. Almost any image can be recreated in the sky by a computer program that turns graphics into flight commands and communicates them to the drones.

Utilizing a combination of TOT and TBID dollars, the show is made possible by a presenting sponsorship from the North Tahoe Community Alliance and will be produced by the North Tahoe Business Association.
