North Tahoe winter parking restrictions are now in effect
Winter parking restrictions around the greater North Lake Tahoe area are in effect until May 1, 2019. Parking along roadway shoulders during this time is prohibited.
Winter weather is upon us, which means parking restrictions are in full effect for the North Lake Tahoe area. When parking in downtown areas, visitors are encouraged to use designated public parking lots. For a map of Kings Beach public parking lots, visit our getting here page.
County officials also advise renters with vacation homes to alert their tenants of seasonal parking restrictions. Keep in mind that parking along roadway shoulders is prohibited until May 1. Illegally parked vehicles are subject to being ticketed or towed. For more information click here.
Compliance will help avoid damage to parked vehicles as well as snow removal equipment and, most importantly, will prevent delays to snow removal operations. County officials stress the importance of adhering to these restrictions even during mild weather as snow maintenance operations may still be taking place.
