The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency office in Tahoe City is seeking a customer-service oriented individual who understands the Lake Tahoe community and works well with members of the public. The current vacancy is a full time benefited position assigned to the unincorporated areas of Placer County in the North Lake Tahoe region. The ideal candidate will be able to provide comprehensive information and support in an effort to promote voluntary compliance. The ideal candidate will also be able to resolve issues promptly when correction is needed in a consistent, fair and equitable manner.
Experience: Two years of responsible experience performing duties similar to those of Code Enforcement Officer I in Placer County.
Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Additional specialized training in law enforcement, land use, building or business regulation or a related field.
License or Certificate:

May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.

Possession of a valid certificate of completion of Penal Code §832 Course in Arrest, Search, and Seizure issued by California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training to be obtained within twelve months of employment.
