Tahoe Vista Recreation Area: Boat Launch Opened May 18!
The Boat Launch Opened Friday, May 18th! Hours for this season are set for 7 AM – 6 PM daily, staffing dependent. Extended hours planned for July 3rd and 4th. Follow the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area Beach and Boat Launch Facebook page for updates and other information throughout the year.
Tahoe Adventure Company will be back on the beach beginning Memorial Day weekend offering SUP and kayak rentals as well as a variety of fun and educational kayak tours. They run Sunset Kayak Tours every Friday and Full Moon Kayak tours dates are set for May 28/29, June 27/28, July 26/27, August 25/26, September 23/24 and October 24th. TAC tours are a great outing for your family, or if you have friends visiting from out of town.
NEW THIS YEAR! Sea-Doo Personal Watercraft Rentals & Designated Swim Area
Experience the beauty of the Lake Tahoe from the ideal vantage point~the water. The newest concessionaire at Tahoe Vista Recreation Area (TVRA) offers the latest selection of environmentally friendly personal Sea-Doo Watercraft Rentals (Jet Skis), available for hourly rental daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The District will also be adding a designated “safe swimming” area this year in an effort to be sure there are no conflicts between swimmers and boats. More information to come!
