THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!
Dear Kings Beach Community,
We hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday and a very Happy New Year. We hope that everyone was able to go out and see the lights and decorations throughout our commercial core over the past two weeks.
We want to first thank Rick Marshall and all our community members for bringing this project and the community desire for more and better holiday lighting in our downtown area. NTBA heard you and we were able to work to bring to life a small lighting vision for 2020. We want to thank everyone who donated lights, donated financially and to all our volunteers who came out and helped us Light Up the Streets of Kings Beach. Thank you to all our businesses who participated in allowing us to decorate and/or decorating your storefront alongside our community! It all turned out so beautifully.
We want to give special thanks to David DiBella and 1877xmasguys for donating the lights for the streetlight poles and for donating their time and efforts to climb those ladders and light up the poles.
We want to thank Placer County for coming out and helping correct the lighting schedules and getting all the poles lit up and helping bring our lighting vision to life- thank you Tony for all your help and hard work right before the holiday to bring joy and happiness to Kings Beach!
Huge THANK YOU to Liberty Utilities for working with Placer County at the 11th hour on 12/23 (Christmas Eve Eve!) to get to the top of each pole and get the lighting on schedule, fixing any issues from the top and getting our street light poles perfectly bright! THANK YOU Mark and Sun for donating your time and skill set to help Light up the Streets of Kings Beach! We are so grateful to Liberty Utilities for such a wonderful partnership with NTBA and their immediate support of our community!
As we move forward, NTBA, with the support of our Board of Directors, will be planning to do a professional annual lighting program. We are still working out all the details for this program but in order to keep holiday lighting going in KB we need the continued support from our community including financial support so that we can not only continue, but also grow this program. We have visions of having all the street light poles and storefronts down the main corridor lit and are looking forward to making that happen in the years to come. As we continue to work through this program we plan to continue to keep our community on the forefront. Our community and everyone’s voices is what brought this holiday miracle to life for 2020 and we want to continue working closely with our community through this program!
Thank you again to everyone involved in lighting up the streets of Kings Beach in 2020! We are looking forward to working with everyone to continue to keep our streets Merry and Bright for years to come.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and BRIGHT 2021.
Take care,
Alyssa Reilly
