Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park Adds Agility Equipment
(Tahoe Vista, California) – Thanks to an $8000 grant from Dog Day in the Park, the Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park in the North Tahoe Regional Park has added dog agility equipment to the small dog, large dog and outback areas of the Park. Dog Day in the Park was instrumental in developing and constructing the Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park in the North Tahoe Regional Park.
A good variety of equipment was purchased including an “up and over” bridge walk, crawl tube, adjustable jumps, fire hydrants, and a ring jump.
“The agility equipment provided by Dog Day in the Park is a great addition to an already popular amenity in the North Tahoe Regional Park,” stated Loren Holt, Administrative Manager for the North Tahoe Public Utility District. “Dogs on the north shore now have another playground to explore.”
The ‘Tahoe Unleashed’ Dog Park is situated just past the entrance to the North Tahoe Regional Park at 6600 Donner Road in Tahoe Vista. Look for the Dog Park information kiosk on your left just before the start of the first parking spaces at the top of the first hill past the gate. Tahoe Unleashed opened in October 2015 and offers three separate fenced off-leash areas for small dogs, large dogs and the “outback” where all dogs are welcome.
