Keeping Tahoe Warm in the Winter!

Please support our community through the Winter Warmth & Wellness Clothing and Household Necessities Giveaway and and the Toys for Tots Giveaway on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Give money, shop online, collect donations, and volunteer time! Many of our North Tahoe neighbors lack these basics of life. Please generously share with them:

Personal Care Items*: Toilet paper, Kleenex, soap, shampoo & cream rinse, deodorant, disposable razors, feminine hygiene items, baby & body lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes (all ages), Bandaids, antibiotic salve, dental floss, disposable diapers (all sizes), diaper wipes & cream, Vaseline.

Household/Laundry Items: Laundry detergent & bleach, dish soap, Windex, toilet & tub cleansers, dryer sheets, paper towels, batteries, flashlights headlamps, utility candles, blankets, warm fleece/fluffy blankets (sofa or twin-sized very appreciated; Costco sells nice ones for $10 each), sleeping bags, flannel sheets.

Winter Clothing (new & lightly used; all ages; male & female): Sweaters, sweatshirts, sweatpants, coats, jackets, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, powder pants, snow bibs, thermal underwear. New winter socks all sizes.

Dog & Cat Food/ Treats

Small personal care items may be available from hotels, motels, & dentists: consider asking them for donations or for a reduced price on a box of samples. Best bets for shopping: Costco for diapers all sizes, baby wipes, toilet paper (prefer individually wrapped) & Kleenex. The big boxes have multiple packs inside. Walmart, Target, and Dollar Store for potions, lotions, shampoos, household cleansers, and feminine hygiene products. We’re looking for mediumsized (not giant family-sized) items. Example: 10 quart-size items work better than 1 giant economy-sized item.

Donations Being Accepted: Monday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 16 (call for schedule) at the North Tahoe Event Center

Giveaway Events: Friday, Dec. 17 from 10am to 6pm and Saturday, Dec. 18 from 9am to 4pm
