The Sierra State Parks Foundation is the nonprofit public benefit organization dedicated to the protection, preservation and sustainability of seven California State Parks in the Lake Tahoe-Donner region. Summary: SSPF is looking for an engaging, passionate, proven and inspired Development Manager to join our team. This is a part time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week. A successful candidate will have the experience necessary to raise funds in a variety of ways and deepen SSPF’s relationships with members, donors and sponsors. Fundraising priorities include, but are not limited to, individual giving, business sponsorships and grant proposal writing. This position works closely with the Executive Director and the Fund Development and The Donner Project committees. This is a new position within the organization and an opportunity to build the development function.
Responsibilities: Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan for the Sierra State Parks Foundation. Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations. Work with Network For Good donor system and oversee donor management data entry. Develop and track proposals and provide grant reports for all fundraising.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer with outstanding organizational skills with 1-3 years of grant writing experience, fundraising or related field. Bachelor’s degree required. Working knowledge of MS Office programs required and knowledge of donor management systems a plus.
Compensation: We are open to hire a part-time salary employee or contract position with a non-profit salary range commensurate with experience. This position may be converted to a three-quarter to full-time position as fundraising benchmarks are reached.
