North Lake Tahoe Parking Management Program

The Department of Public Works has recently engaged an experienced parking services consultant, Dixon Resources Unlimited (Dixon), to develop a plan for implementation of the initial phase of this program.  The phase one area will generally include summer parking management strategies for Kings Beach and include Tahoe Vista to Stateline to address beach and recreational site parking areas.

Dixon is visiting the Kings Beach area for on-site assessments in January, and the County will be hosting the following in-person and virtual community meetings:

At these community meetings, County staff will provide some context for what has been done to date towards building our North Lake Tahoe Parking Management Program as an important element of the Placer County Resort Triangle Transportation Plan.  Julie Dixon and her team will lead an exercise to gather input from the community, agencies, and all interested parties that aims to identify people’s “wish list” parking solutions for the area.  Both meetings will have this similar format, and you don’t have to attend both meetings, but you are welcome to attend both if you choose to do so.
