Tea on Top of Tahoe with TRTA
Tea on Top of Tahoe
The Tahoe Institute for Natural Science and the TRTA invite you to spend a Friday morning combining art and nature on a guided hike to Picnic Rock. Along the trail, participants will dive into wildflower exploration, while stopping frequently to investigate the colorful jewels that grow from Tahoe’s soils. We will have tea on top of picnic rock as TINS naturalist, Sarah Hockensmith will lead a brief sketching workshop to invite an artistic nature experience while discovering flower patterns and details you may not otherwise notice.
No experience necessary. Please bring a journal and/or sketching paper, pencil(s), a mug, and your favorite bag of tea to enjoy. Hot water will be provided. More information will be sent to participants prior to the event.
TRTA partner hikes are group hikes, and we do our best to keep the group together. All TRTA guides are volunteers who dedicate a great deal of their time throughout the year sharing their passion for the trail and the outdoors. They are well-trained and experienced so please respect their decisions they make on the trail.
