Volunteers will place a turkey and fixings in the trunk as community members drive through the parking lot. Community members on our home delivery program will be delivered on November 23. 11th Annual Tahoe Community Thanksgiving Celebration – Covid Style
Drive-through holiday food pick-up Thursday, November 26 from 2 to 6pm (or when food runs out) at the North Tahoe Event Center. Admission by your choice of donation: (1) 1 new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots; (2) 1 or more cans of food for Project MANA; (3) Cash donation of $2.00 per person or $5.00 per family; or (4) Volunteer help.

The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA) recently launched Takeout Tahoe, an initiative to support and promote local restaurants through fall, winter and beyond. The campaign includes a downloadable guide to help visitors and locals navigate the 150+ restaurant options in the region, a North Tahoe EATS Facebook Page, and a contest element that will award restaurant gift cards to further support eating local.

Resorts are Opening Soon!
Whether you ski or snowboard, North Lake Tahoe resorts are opening for the season! Northstar California Resort has the earliest scheduled opening date this year on Friday, November 20. Epic Pass prices go up $100 on November 22 — get your here. Priority reservations are now open. This season, passholders get priority access to reservations and exclusive Early Season access. Reserve your days here. Mt Rose Ski Tahoe’s opening day is close. We encourage all guests to review our health and safety page prior to arrival at Mt. Rose. Updated policies have been put into place to protect guests, staff, and ultimately our season!
Full Moon Snowshoe Tours
Join Tahoe Adventure Company for one of their very special Full Moon Treks on Thursday, November 30 from 4–7pm through the brisk mountain air of Lake Tahoe’s peaceful, wintery forest. You will trek on easy to use snowshoes by moonlight. Knowledgeable guides will discuss local natural history, astronomy topics, as well as fascinating facts about our moon. You will also stop along the way to take in the beautiful views and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. Cost is $75 per person and no experience is necessary. Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s Independent #OptOutside Day November 27
In honor of REI’s #OptOutside campaign, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association is encouraging locals and visitors to head out to your favorite trail, park, or neighborhood and simply for for a walk. Wherever you are, keep in mind it is more important than ever to #RecreateResponsibly: (1) Know Before You Go; (2) Practice Physical Distancing; (3) Plan Ahead; (4) Place It Safe; (5) Explore Locally; (6) Leave No Trace; (7) Build An Inclusive Outdoors. Let’s Talk Turkey
In the weeks before Thanksgiving, Project MANA helps hundreds of local families have a happy, healthy Thanksgiving through its annual Let’s Talk Turkey Food Distribution. With the help of dozens of social service agencies, schools and churches throughout North Lake Tahoe and Truckee, Project MANA works to identify as many community members as possible who need assistance by providing a hearty Thanksgiving meal for their families. Giving & Thanks
It’s November which means it’s almost time for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday! Many organizations opt out of Black Friday and choose to participate in Giving Tuesday instead. Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge is proud to participate as they prepare for their annual Giving & Thanks campaign. They are extending it to A Week of Giving & Thanks starting November 20, 2018 through November 27, 2018.
