The North Tahoe Family Resource Center and Plumas Bank have teamed up to help the students in our community get the tools they need to excel in the upcoming school year. Together, the organizations are collecting school supplies to give to children whose families face financial difficulties. They would like your help in making sure that every child in our community has what they need to thrive in school.
In order to foster a sense of promise for all students in our community, please make sure all donations be new items. Plumas Bank and NTFRC would like this equipment to spark children’s creativity and foster strong organizational skills.
To contribute, please bring your new school supplies to the collection barrels at Plumas Banks in Tahoe City and Kings Beach or Community House located at 265 Bear Street in Kings Beach. Please donate supplies before August 31st. Suggested donations include (but are not limited to): backpacks, pencils, pens, markers, 3-Ring Binders, spiral notebooks, colored pencils, pencil cases, crayons, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, erasers, loose leaf paper, dividers, pocket folders, rulers, blunt tip scissors, and glue sticks.
Together, we know we can help all of the children in our community enter the school year with excitement and confidence.
