North Tahoe Business Association and its Design committee and Clean Team, have launched a program to keep Kings Beach downtown clean year-round. The Kings Beach Main Street Litter Free Program was launched in 2018 and includes 39 main street businesses working towards a cleaner downtown.
The goal is to improve year-round cleanliness in the Kings Beach Commercial Corridor. Efforts will help supplement the trash pick-up serves provided by the Kings Beach Benefit Assessment District and NTBA’s Clean Up Day litter pick-up efforts which happen annually, first Saturday in June. There are many well documented benefits to litter free businesses and communities, especially with such close proximity to Lake Tahoe.
