For the first time ever, the different entities, counties and agencies that represent Lake Tahoe are collaborating on the development of guiding principles and practices to preserve our region’s natural resources.
Lake Tahoe residents, community members and stakeholders interested in reducing human impacts on our environment—particularly as our population surges during peak times—are invited to take part in workshops that will help create a destination stewardship plan. This shared strategy will inspire all to take care of Tahoe and balance the needs of Lake Tahoe’s environment, businesses, visitors, and local communities.
Four in-person workshops took place in May and now two virtual workshops have been added to allow for additional participation.
