Music on the Beach, Lights in the Sky!

Due to the Caldor Fire, Air Quality, and in respect to our neighbors in South Shore and beyond… it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to POSTPONE our Music on the Beach, Lights in the Sky event, which was scheduled for this Friday September 10, to a later date. This event was created with our amazing community in mind, but we also want to expand this event to include the entire Tahoe Basin, and to celebrate and acknowledge the resiliency that all our communities have shown not only from Covid, but also from the recent challenges related to the Caldor Fire. More so, we want to celebrate and thank our heroic firefighters and first responders who are protecting our communities and saving lives, structures, wildlife, and forests.

Please note that this event is postponed, not cancelled. This celebration WILL happen and we look forward to opening the Kings Beach Community and NTBA district to our neighbors around the basin to enjoy live music by the Blues Monsters and a DRONE show over the lake – which will be themed to show the special pride we have for our beautiful lake and communities.

Also, a HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors, partners and supporters of our 2021 Music on the Beach concert series. While we know the series was unfortunately cut short, we enjoyed the time we did get to spend together dancing to live music and watching the beautiful North Tahoe sunsets.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support.

We look forward to celebrating with you soon,
NTBA Staff & Board

The Blues Monsters

September 10

The Blues Monsters have been taking center stage for over 27 years! A red-hot rockin’ blues band from the North Lake Tahoe and Reno area, The Blues Monsters were voted the #1 blues band in North Lake Tahoe for 7 years running. It’s amazing to find such a powerfully unique combination of R&B, funk, jazz, and Chicago-style blues high in the mountains. Polished, tight, yet bursting at the seams, their originals are fresh and new, even though it’s still the blues. Their covers are framed in signature arrangements that demonstrated the depth of the band’s talent. Whether paying respects to the masters of traditional blues, or rockin’ out other tunes, The Blues Monsters get the whole house up and dancing. They’re a red hot time – a great reason to choose blues!

Drone light shows are performed by LED illuminated, synchronized, and choreographed groups of drones that arrange themselves into various aerial formations. Almost any image can be recreated in the sky by a computer program that turns graphics into flight commands and communicates them to the drones.
