North Lake Tahoe’s 29th AnnualClean Up Days will take place on Saturday, June 1 AND Saturday, September 28, 9AM – 1PM, RAIN OR SHINE in Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay and Crystal Bay. Over 100 volunteers will take to the streets to pick up trash. Last year, over 1,500 pounds of trash was collected.
Registration will take place from 9am – 11am at Sierra Community House (265 Bear St.) in Kings Beach. Participants will be given bags and gloves, and directed to clean up a particular area in Kings Beach. Once bags are full, volunteers may leave them at any corner in Kings Beach, and our truck crews will pick them up. No bags will be picked up after 1pm.
Volunteers that want to clean up at Crystal Bay, Tahoe Vista or Carnelian Bay can pick up their supplies at registration. Please tell the NTBA representative where you plan on cleaning up! Truck crews going to Crystal Bay, Tahoe Vista, or Carnelian Bay will only pick up bags along Hwy 28. If you have your own bags, gloves, or trash picker-uppers, please feel free to bring them.Â
If you plan to participate, please fill out our online liability waiver ahead of time.

NTBA would like to thank Clean Tahoe for their involvement and support of this event!
We asked our local young artists to create a poster that highlighted the spirit of keeping our community clean and beautiful for our 29th Annual Community Clean Up Days.
NTBA’s staff and board came together to vote, and after careful consideration, Emma’s beautiful drawing and message took the WIN.
Her artwork will be turned into a poster that will be hung around the community before each Clean Up Day as well as featured here, on our website.
A BIG THANKS to all of our participants – it was amazing to see all the creativity and inspiration from so many of our youth.

Tahoe’s Trash Pickup Challenge
Help us show Tahoe how much we care by participating in Tahoe’s Trash Pickup Challenge, September 1-30! Together we can keep our beautiful Tahoe environment clean and litter free. You can join Keep Tahoe Blue all month long at our in-person events, by cleaning up remotely, or both.
All month long we encourage you to go out and pick up any litter that you see! Whether you’re just walking to school or the store, or heading out for an hour long cleanup at your favorite Tahoe spot, make sure to leave it better than you found it by picking up any litter that you see along the way.
