On May 5, 2020 the proposal to defer Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) remittance was passed 5-0 by the Placer County Board of Supervisors. In response to the COVID-19 emergency and its impact on the operators of lodging facilities, NLTRA worked with county staff to propose the suspension of penalties and interest on an interim basis until July 31, 2020 for any previously unremitted TOT collected during the third quarter of fiscal year 19/20 (January 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020).
