July 3rd Fireworks & Beach Party
The July 3rd Fireworks & Beach Party is a North Lake Tahoe tradition that NTBA is proud to bring to Kings Beach annually. Newly redesigned with extended hours from 2-10pm outside of North Tahoe Event Center right on the beach at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. No ticket is needed. The event is scheduled to include a DJ, live music, a dunk tank, food, beer garden, and watermelon eating, sand castle building and patriotic costume contests and more! At approximately 9:30 p.m. the skies light up with a dazzling fireworks display, free to the public. Bring your own beach chair and blanket to view the fireworks.
There is no budget from local taxes and/or government support to pay for the firework show in Kings Beach! The fireworks are entirely funded by grants, sponsorships and gifts from generous organizations and individuals. It’s always a struggle.
If you enjoy having the annual fireworks shows here at the north shore of Lake Tahoe, please donate! It’s easy to do. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

Community Clean Up Day - First Saturday each June
Clean Up Day takes place annually on the first Saturday, June RAIN OR SHINE in Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay and Crystal Bay. Over 100 volunteers will take to the streets to pick up trash. Last year, 5,000 lbs. of trash was collected. Registration / check-in stations open at 9:00 am in Kings Beach at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area picnic tables next to the playground (across from Plumas Bank), in Tahoe Vista at Cable Car Ice Cream, in Carnelian Bay at GarWoods, and in Crystal Bay at the Tahoe Biltmore. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, bags and snacks and volunteer appreciation goodies. While cleaning up, volunteers that find “Golden Items” win prizes donated by local businesses.
Immediately following the “dirty” work, Clean Up Day volunteers are invited to attend a Volunteer Party with complimentary food and live music at the North Tahoe Beach Picnic Pavilion (across from Safeway) 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Get involved in this important annual community event and be a part of sprucing up our town before the busy tourist season.
